Italian Risling:
This grape is the most common in our wine area and our main type. It probably came to Hungary from France long time ago but this became the traditional grape here. It is very fertile because likes the Hungarian climate and not choosy with the soil neither. You can taste many different kind of risling around here. Starting with the simple not too distinctive basic risling to the full bodied one with almond aftertaste, selected by the terroar.
Juhfark (Sheep Tail):
This is an ancient Hungarian grape, a real Hungaricum which homeland is in Balatoncsicsó. This grape started to gain more and more attention and popularity on the north shore of the lake Balaton. It has got it’s name after the bending shape of the grape bunch which is similar to the sheeps tail. The legend says if the groom drinks Juhfark on the wedding night the first born will be a boy. The fragance is not intensive but the taste is very distinctive, full bodied with high acids. Tis wine is very grateful for aging and developing nicely.
Cserszegi fűszeres:
This is also a Hungaricum. It was gentically crossed by Károly Bakonyi in Cserszegtomaj from the Irsai Olivér and Tramini grapes. It is like a parfume, intensive with nice acids and harmonic quality.
